Diddy: He'll prove his innocence
Diddy has been charged with battery after allegedly attacking a UCLA football coach during practice on Saturday (25.06.23).
The music mogul was arrested and released on $50,000 bail after the incident, which is said to have occurred during an argument with Sal Alosi, who is the strength and conditioning coach for the Bruins.
A source told TMZ that Diddy was "upset" with Alosi's coaching methods and allegedly struck him in the face. Alosi was reportedly left with a bruised face and a cut lip.
Diddy has denied the allegations and has vowed to "prove his innocence." He took to social media to say that he was "shocked" by the charges and that he "never laid a hand" on Alosi.
The Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office is investigating the incident. If Diddy is convicted of battery, he could face up to a year in jail.
Diddy is a Grammy Award-winning rapper and producer who has sold over 100 million records worldwide. He is also the founder of the Bad Boy Records label and the Sean John clothing line.
Alosi is a former NFL player who has coached at several colleges and professional teams. He joined the UCLA football staff in 2021.
