The Professional Darts Corporation (PDC) is deeply saddened to announce the sudden passing of Australian darts star Kyle Anderson. The 33-year-old was found unresponsive in his hotel room in Perth, Western Australia, on Friday, August 5th.
Anderson was a rising star in the darts world, having won the World Cup of Darts in 2015 with David Reynolds. He also finished runner-up in the 2017 Premier League Darts and reached the semi-finals of the 2018 World Darts Championship.
PDC chairman Barry Hearn expressed his shock and sadness at Anderson's death. "Kyle was a fantastic player and a great ambassador for the sport," Hearn said. "He will be deeply missed by everyone who knew him."
The darts community is in mourning following Anderson's tragic passing. Current world champion Gerwyn Price tweeted: "Heartbreaking news. Kyle Anderson was a true gentleman of the sport. My thoughts are with his family and friends."
